As you all know, Bf3 is comming out in a month from now.Accordingly to this, i would wish to open a small division among the most motivated to compete in the ESL http://www.esl.eu/de,
Participate and win some prizes or nothing :D but fame.

A new BF3 special ESL section (server if needed) will be opened in due time.



This could be a great adventure and might bring some fresh blood into this community (if we dont suck).

I have pre ordered BF3 but i fear its gonna be shit. PR destroyed normal games for me.. : (

Havent played competitive for atleast 10 years.. but hell, if its fun, why not?
Is it known how Battles will be fought there? CQ, Rush, Team/ squad Deathmatch? I dont really like the infantry battles in BC2.. :P

I might be able to recruit 1 or 2 guys for this. My brother and his mate (oldschool q2 pro) are very good and we had a killer squad in BC2. They will play 100% Bf3 so i might aswell try to recruit them...

Trying for weeks to bring my brother to play PR, maybe this is the stepping stone!!11 lol

A thousand times this. BF3 will probably be okay to let off some steam from time to time (i.e. play a short round or two) but it will probably not be anything you can play seriously in the ESL.

Hell, have you ever played Vanilla BF2 in the ESL? (I took part in a few "Gathers" but it wasn't too much fun)

I will definitely buy it (after I bought new hardware), but I'm sceptic about anything competitive.

"This competition will start in 8 days" and apparently we are signed up. We need top down grids of whatever levels we may play. So that we can map the routes the enemy will take, where we can time grenades, where we need mg's etc etc.

Will we find out the map we are playing on beforehand? We need to know exactly where our lines will meet if both teams rush perfectly.
