It's not finalized, it's public beta. And it's been in "locked" beta in AmericasArmy3 for a year now.

btw, with the latest beta the server can provide group icons for download by clients.

Bilko already told him on TS the other day that it wasn't going to happen any time soon as we are still using a beta version.

Still, according to some info on the TS3 forums, updates will leave the database (channels, clients, permissions) untouched. The only hitch will be that the super admins will not have the additional permission types added with the latest betas.

These would have to be added manually to the database.

Why is this discussion in public "Announcements/Information" section?

1) I said that unless there's some really important bug fixes, I see little point updating for pure cosmetics. It is still beta, which means that the next beta version might introduce problems that will then be fixed in a later beta. The version (beta16) we were running seemed OK from a stability point of view.

2) I specifically told you more than once that because of my current workload and the above, I will not look into it until that changes. Which happened this weekend, first work free weekend since ... can't even recall.

3) If you believe everything you find on google you're in for some pretty bad experience.
