[Question] Server Rules

Do we have any and if yes what rules exactly.
I think we should post them somewhere and give a message on server to avoid situations when admin have to start discussion on Chat about rules instead of fast kick or warn (like yesterday situation with baserape)

That wasnt even a discussion about that rule being stated or not.
"They just shot random people, and only once every few minutes so it wasnt baserape" was the discussion topic.

I don't see point in putting all those NOs into server description, simple "behave well" or sth similar should do the work.

Good players know that baseraping/soloing/etc is not welcome and as we want to keep the level of gameplay on the server high, simply get rid off kiddies instantly if they don't realize what this mod is about.

Also, proven TKs for vehicles should get kicked propmtly, without redundant warning.
Same applies to obvious spawn raping in main.

I have many trouble when I was screaming on TexasTeamplayer server because of baserapers and got a lot of shame when discover it was allowed on this server ...

Yea some servers allow base rape when main flag is a capable for example Eagle. Although that rule may not be so "stupid" if used properly but having it on public server will lead to serious crap sooner or later so i am all against it.

On Texas, you can baserape at the start if you want, the rule is :"All areas are hostile"

From my experience any organized team with Baserape allowed will ruin the game..

I seem to remember last time on Kashan when we had 5 T-90's and a havok camping us main with our inf capping behind us...

If both flags are "rapable" it should be "fair game"
if one side only has a "death dome" then it's a no-no?
When people feel safe -they get lazy and let's say Kahn
is not around no one will build the FOB's thinking
ahh it's safe to spawn back there no matter what.

If your main is the only place you can spawn (well into the game) that is a problem already.

It's impossible to base rape right away correct?

So it would be a good "motivator" to deploy

What if we have some extra rules about CO to encourage players for this role?

#SL's must follow all reasonable orders from Commander and if they can't obey must have a good reason for that, if they don't give them warning!

#Reserving assets only by a Commander to specific squads focused on APC or chopper transport etc. No more stealing vehicles!

#Each Squad leader must have microphone!

I know how difficult it would be and it need Admins watching every game but we could try at least on evenings battles when the server is full.

Maybe we could implement a simple warring system so every player would get kick from server for 5-10 minutes after 3 warnings?

It looks like Blood was even more pissed off after yesterday game than I thought. :) At the end of yesterday Fools Road our squad was full of rookies without any idea how to play PR. They didn't fallow orders, etc.

btw. Is a chance for raserve a place for GCA players when server is full?

Each players must have microphone ! How play PR without a mic ? I still can't understand how some guyz can come without it, if I'm squad Leader, it's the first reason for being fired from the crew ...

Expect a lot more of this in the weeks following the .85 release. We should show enough tolerance to teach those willing to learn, while removing those who try to lower to quality of game down to vbf2 standards.

Well from my experience I have to say that some players without a mic are sure able to follow orders. Sometimes even better than others who have a mic.
I think a "you have to follow your SL obediently" or a "you have to listen to your SL" rule makes more sense than enforcing players to have a mic.

Seconded. I don't think that players are mature enough NOT to baserape when it's not appropriate.

To rebound on Khidr's post, we can warn the noobs to: "Ask questions, is you don't know ! ..." and the vets to: "Be welcome with the newbies, do not just say: RTFM ! ..."

1) No main base attacks except when AAS say so.

The jackass part covers all tk, soloing, bad behaviour, too bad language etc etc. No need to overcomplicate it. If we can fit it in that server message window it will be a lot better (nobody goes to the webpage to read the rules).

Yes, keep few but vital rules and add:
"Admin rules, don't argue in-game bring to our forum".

Most of the rules are "common sense" and should be enforced on the fly by admins.

If you don't know what actions fall under "being a jackass", here is a hint. When everyone on the server is telling you to stop what you are doing and calling you names like jackass, then you are most likely committing an action which falls under said category.

At this stage you will have two options.
a) cease whatever jackassery you are doing and most likely everyone will be ok or;
b) continue in your pursuit of pissing off the other gamers and see yourself removed.
